Dear Heather,
I am definately interested but my full load on the Culinary program at CC is taking all of my time and more.  I wrote you another E-mail as a reply to the announcement to the Medicinal Plant class.  I really miss the group and still want to be a part of Rawfood Meet-ups but right now I propably bit off more than I cam chew.  Please keep me in mind as I am studying to be a chef and would really like to make some cakes. I'm sure that my friend Madelein e would love to help in the kitchen as she has been a raw foodist for years.
Probably in January of next year I will be a bit less stressed.  (Yes, stressed is the right way to but it!).  But I waould love to try making a raw food food cake and helping to cater a raw food event would be fun...... Just not this month!
P.S. You probably want to know what I look like since there is no photo of me on the internet yet..soon, I promise

Hi Meet Up members,

I have had TWO requests in the last week for people needing either an event catered raw, or a special raw cake made, with about five days or less for each request. I have been able to respond with an informal list of folks, but want to have a raw chef catering list that is accurate and complete.

I would like to post a list as a "File" on our Meet Up website for everyone to access, but I'd like to make it a better File first before I do that. For those of you on this list, can you please edit or add whatever contact information or description of your services you might like to have and then email it back to me and I can re-upload it with your new info.? Please limit the description to under 110 words. Also including some information about your catering pricing structure would be helpful.

Also, if you'd like to be added onto this list, please do the same! :)

LAST - if you are a raw chef, please know that the Raw Spirit Festival is coming to Live Oak campground in May! They need to choose a chef for the event, AND there will be many opportunities to have a vendor booth at the event to sell breakfast and lunch foods, would LOVE if you were all there. I recommend that you start planning as early as possible if you'd like to attend, the Raw Spirit Fesival was WONDERFUL in Sedona this year! :)

Best wishes,

Tiffany Cole <[address removed]> Tiffanny primarily provide awesome Raw Vegan Ice Cream (called "Henry's"), she lives in Ojai and runs the business with her partner, Enrique. She has brought her wonderful ice cream to many of our potlucks and to Matt Monarch's parties in Ojai. Mary's Secret Garden in Ventura also features Tiffany's ice cream. Tiffany and Enrique also have an adorable baby, Sebastian.

Seth Tuton[masked] ([address removed]). Seth has also been produce manager for both IV Co Op and most recently, Whole Foods in Washington State. Seth and his wife, Aileen, have a baby, Maya, and have just moved back to the area to help Seth's dad. Seth can really use some small contracts at the moment in between caring for his dad.

Spiritland Bistro ( Organic Global Cuisine 230 E Victoria St . Santa Barbara CA . [masked]-7759. Spiritland Bistro is our only entirely organic restaurant in town with a good selection of raw dishes. The newest owner of Spiritland Bistro has also very generously created the Tuesday Night for Healing lecture series, which has given an opportunity for our members to enjoy listening to many local raw foods speakers.

Dianne Bess teaches raw foods classes and is well known in the Santa Barbara Raw Foods community. She has given a talk on raw foods at Spiritland Bistro and compleed a contract with the Spiritland Bistro in creating a wonderfull raw food lunch menu. Dianne and her husband, Jim, have attended some of our potlucks and have been a delightful part of our group. (Dianne, can you please complete this for best contact info.?)

Katheryn Bieber <[address removed]>, she has catered events and sells wonderful foods, especially desserts at the IV Coop. She and her husband, Roban, have also attended trainings at the Living Light Culinary Art Institute. Katheryn is also involved with Fairview Farms and gave a great raw foods demo. there. Ninaya has catered many of the Yoga Soup special events. Ninaya has quite a busy schedule, especially with her new baby, but together with her partner, Daniel, who spoke on incorporating edible plants and fruits in your landscaping at Spiritland Bistro, she might be able to cater an event.

Other, out of town chefs:

Mary - of Mary's Secret Garden WONDERFUL restaurant in Ventura would likely be able to put something special together for you from her restaurant with enough lead time. Arranging pick up of the food from Ventura might be the greatest challenge though., 100 S Fir St, Ventura, CA 93001, (805)[masked]

Larry Goldberg <[address removed]> Used to do traditional cheffing for a client on his private jet full time. Now doing raw catering out of Santa Monica, has completed a full chef training series at Living Light Culinary Art Institute. Currently a personal chef with one primary full time client, might be able to do extra jobs with enough notice. Larry helped cater a Summer Solstice party event in Santa Barbara for Acorn Organics with Heather and Noah a couple of years ago. [masked]

Chef BeLive Light (Brian Lucas) Out of the Central Valley - see Meet Up group members and can email him from there. He has invited our club members to special events that he has put on in the past.
