SB Raw Foods & Organic Lifestyles Events Message Board › Kombucha / Dehydrating

My newest interests for the beginning of this year are homemade Kombucha and Dehydrated foods (starting with yummy flax chips, and could expand to making some fun backpacking snacks)
I would love any tips/advice from anyone who has more experience with these wonderful treats. Maybe something you wish you had found out sooner? OR common mistakes to be avoided?
Do you know of a great starter site? (sometimes it's hard to tell the good from the bad with all that is out there) Also if you have a culture you could spare that could be great! I am going to try a method I read online of growing one from a store bought drink, but seems results vary.
Anyone have a favorite recipe?
