As you know, the "Pot Luck" will be a little different this month. We won't be following our regular format where everyone brings a raw vegan dish to share but we will be sampling different juices and ending with raw banana "ice cream".
What to bring: if you have a favorite juice please bring the ingredients so we can make it for all to share a sample (aprox. 3 oz per person) If you're not sure what to bring, email me at [address removed] and I will be happy to provide you with several juice options to choose from. It has also been asked if the ingredients should be organic or can they be conventional. My take on that is organic is always preferred and greens should be organic. Any fruit or vegetable that does not have a thick skin that is removed should be organic. If you do choose to bring conventional just wash them well and let us know that they are conventionally grown. A lot of members of our group feel that drinking juice is more important to them than whether or not it is organic. And then we have members who have allergies that eat only organic. So, which ever you choose to bring it will be greatly appreciated. Cups, etc will be provided.
If you have a juicer or vitamix that you wouldn't mind bringing please email me and let me know.
I am really excited about the feedback I've gotten regarding the juicing event.
You can also reach me on my cell[masked]-4136. The best time to reach me is between 2:30 pm and 6:30pm M-F or any time on the weekends.
Gain support and encouragement from other raw fooders in the area and share meals, recipes, books, ideas and friendship together on a monthly basis. This group is for everyone interested or just learning about raw foods as well as for those that are stuggling or have already "gone raw." You don't need to be 100% raw, all eating paths and lifestyles are respected.
