Saturday, May 8, 2010 6:49 PM
To all members of the Pittsburgh Raw Food Group,
I am thrilled to announce that at the upcoming May 15th Raw Pot Luck gathering, we will have a guest speaker to talk to us about how to create your own organic garden. Jeff Yeager, owner of Octopus Organic Gardening, has offered to join the group and talk about techniques and practices to successfully growing your own abundant organic fruits and veggies.
Jeff has even offered to take the group to my place (which is right around the corner) for a hands-on demonstration and practice showing how to properly select a site for a garden, prepare the soil, plant, water, fertilize, compost and more.
So, the pot luck will begin at Shelley's at 1:00pm with an informal talk about gardening and then anyone who is interested in a hands on discussion and demonstration can proceed to my yard at 3:30. The cost of the organic gardening lesson will be $5 per person (free to anyone willing to do some digging).
Come along and get down and dirty and have some fun while learning key techniques!!
And furthermore - RAW ALMONDS ARE IN SO PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME BY CALLING [masked] ABOUT PICKING UP SOME ALMONDS - OR GET THEM THE DAY OF THE POT LUCK.
SUN WARRIOR PROTEIN POWDER IS IN TOO ALONG WITH WARRIOR FOOD AND OTHERS FROM HEALTHFORCE!!
Enjoy your week and I look forward to seeing many of you next weekend!
