What to bring:

  • A prepared dish of raw, organic vegan ingredients (no animal products!). As this is a picnic, whole organic fruits, as well as salads are especially welcome! As it is outdoors, durian is more than welcome (as well as durian puddings, pies, etc.!)

  • Please provide a detailed list of the ingredients.

  • These events are about abundance! If eaten alone, your food should fill at least 2-3 people.

  • If it's your first time and you don't know what to bring, but are interested in coming, just bring an organic salad (greens or fruit) with dressing on the side.

  • Please bring your own plates and silverware.

What to bring - EXTRAS:

  • In addition to having our raw potluck, we like to have fun, so feel free to bring frisbees, basketball, volleyball, tennis equipment, etc. Plan to have fun! If anyone has a volleyball net to bring, there are permanent posts at the park. Badminton equipment is also welcome. Perhaps we'll have another game of kickball or ultimate frisbee! I also plan to bring some juggling pins, etc., so if you're a juggler, please show us how it's done! Are you up for the brand new game "Ultimate Medicine Ball" or "Ultimate Badminton"? The newest addition to my collection of toys is a Flybar 1200 extreme pogo stick! (use at your own risk!)

  • If you prefer not sitting on the ground, please bring blankets and/or chairs. Let's celebrate summer with some wonderful company, some fun games and activities, and some vibrant raw living foods!!!

  • Bring bicycles for fun cruises around the park and down to the waterfront!

  • How about some drums or other instruments?

Newcomers are welcome!

Children are welcome!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Couldn't find organic jicama, so am planning on making RAWldorf salad. Will also bring some durian and watermelon. I'll have some of my brownies for dessert!

Yum! It all sounds great! I am planning on bringing organic haystacks, organic spinach and strawberry salad and 5 lbs worth of organic carrot juice. I thought if it's an all day event more food might be nice so I may bring a few other things as well. I also plan on having a cooler. This will be my first July 4th raw vegan potluck picnic and I am so looking forward to it! It will be wonderful sharing the time with everyone! Yay! :)

The more food the merrier, especially for those of us staying through a couple meal periods! We should bring more than enough to fill ourselves up for the duration! Giacinta, it sounds like you've got that covered... and THEN some!

I'm also planning to bring my hand-crank blender for people to use, but not for hard stuff like nuts and kale, etc.

Great potluck! Thanks everyone for joining us, bringing great food, playing sports, and for the great conversations! The rain even held off till after the official end of the potluck, though we were still playing Ultimate. It only added to the fun!
