Saturday Potluck @ The Cabin by the Lake: May 17th, 11am-9pm

Hello Everyone,

We have an awesome event coming up, hosted by our local raw food real estate agent, Peder Nielsen!  Thank you, Peder, for your generosity.  :)

On Saturday, May 17th, we will have a Saturday Potluck Party at Peder's Cabin on beautiful Lake Roesiger in Snohomish.  This is about a one hour commute from Seattle.

Here's the address:

23004 Gemmer Rd, Snohomish, WA 98290

Check out pictures of the cabin and lake on this site.  Type in the property number #166276 to access the pictures.

The potluck takes place on Saturday, starting at 11am (11am to 1pm will be social and food prep time), and going until 9pm.

If you have issues finding the property on the day of the potluck, please call Peder at[masked]-1200.

We will have access to kayaks, a paddle boat, billiards, ping pong, soft tips darts and TV.  Feel free to bring board games, too.

For the potluck, bring your favorite raw dish (enough to satiate 2-3 people if eaten alone), and some warm clothing.  You may also bring your raw food-making equipment to make your fabulous creations right there on the spot:  Blender, food processor, dehydrator, juicer, etc.  There is also a country store one mile away.

If this is your first potluck, you may bring fresh fruit, or an organic salad with a raw dressing.

Hope to see you all there!  This should be a really fun event.  :)

I really wanted to go last weekend but just couldn't make it. My friends allowed me to harvest 15 lbs of organic spinach on their farm Saturday morning, which really wanted to bring to you all, but wasn't sure if I would have been welcome for a short stay.

How did the weekend go? Peder, please make another event similar to this in the future.

A short stay would have been more than welcome! We had a nice time hanging out at the lake, kayaking and paddle-boating. Hope to see you next time. :)

Actually Eric Ogden showed up late, and was welcomed and appreciated just the same even for his short time there. He brought a 15-year-old well-sized yet active dog with him.

This sounds like so much fun. Does anyone have the technology to host a conference call Tues eve (or sometime early in the week) for 1/2 - 1 hour to coordinate this? We can discuss who needs to bring what bedding, who's bringing the juicer, who's bringing the vitamix, intentions for the weekend, directions, and any thing else that would help make it go more smoothly? If not, spontaneous will do.

I think we should just wing it. I believe there are four beds, as well as a couch, so there's a fair amount of room. You can always bring a sleeping bag, just in case. Peder usually brings a Vitamix. And you can call Peder if you have questions on directions.
