Beauty is a clear indication of radiant health. We will be having a class on eating for beauty!
"Someone once said, "I do not know who discovered water, but I can be sure of one thing, it was not a fish." Some things are so obvious, they are so directly in front of us, that they are difficult to see. The value of real, wholesome, raw plant-based nutrition is one of those things. It has always been here, all around us!
It is nutrient-rich raw food that places a sparkle in the eye, luster in the hair, freshness in the skin, and herbal fragrance in the body. Raw plant-food is beautiful!
Preparing and eating this type of food is an art. Every ingredient is a new color. Each meal is a cloud, a stream, or a flower-a piece of the magnificent painting that you are becoming. Every bite is a detailed brush stroke on your work of art in progress. What we perceive as the world is only a reflection of the work of art we are inside. We find that once we become pure and polished within, everything outside of us also becomes that and more. To me, the raw-food ideal represents not only a way to live in peace, love, and harmony with nature and the animals, it also represents the highest aspirations of beauty in the human spirit." - David Wolfe.
On the menu:
- Ultra Beauty Salad.
- Empress Pudding.
- Velvet Violette Elixer.
- Magu's Pixy Stix.
- and much more!
We will also demonstrate: a homemade shampoo, rinse, tooth-whitener, and a homemade healthy non-soap way to shower! remember: Your skin, is the body's largest organ. And putting harmful chemicals on it would be like doing the same thing to your liver or kidneys; in fact, the skin has been called "the third kidney". We will learn to make homemade skin-care products that are easy, healthy, and cost-efficient! It is also liberating to know that we don't need those costly bottled chemicals anymore!
This is a $35 Class, so please mention that you are a member of this meetup and you only have to pay $25. You may pay at the register, and the class will be held upstairs at Goodwins Organics.
