Laura, recently relocated from the United States, is a Certified Living on Live Foods Instructor/Chef and Certified Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor who has a home based business providing Raw Food Consults, Raw Food Instructor & Chef Certification Courses from the acclaimed teachings of Alissa Cohen, and hosts raw food demos/parties, etc.

Raw Food Demonstrations presented by Laura, tips on how to prepare gourmet style raw dishes & desserts that are beyond the standard smoothies & salads, yet are simple & easy to implement into your lifestyle. From cheeses to pies & pates!

Also speaking will be her fiance, Co-Owner of Living in the Raw, Isaac Robson. He will discuss the importance of organic produce and also speak to the organic produce home delivery that they provide to the surrounding communities.

PART B:
What do we know about water?

3.45pm to 5pm

Session 1: “Liquid Gold” - Critical Importance of Water for Life

All raw foods that we like so much need water to grow. The Sun alone can’t produce seedlings, even if the soil is rich in nutrients.

Two thirds of Earth's surface is covered by water. All life on Earth originated in the oceans.

Your body is over 70% WATER

40 min presentation will be delivered by Rado

PS: The talk will include various types of tap water and shower water filters.

Session 2: “Sprouts - live source of nutrition"

We will talk about a simple and easy way of producing your own sprouts at home in your kitchen.

I believe that many of you like legumes and grains and because we can’t eat them raw we can sprout them instead (softer and juicier) to get the best nutritional value out of them. We will demonstrate how to sprout peas, chick peas; various beans and protein rich Quinoa.

Session 3: “Water Fasting” - Importance and health benefits of water fasting explained.

WATER COMPETITION:

No. Nobody will get wet. Three volunteers will have opportunity to try 6 samples of water from 5 different sources (safe drinking sources only smile). The challenge is that they will be blindfolded. The winner will be the person able to recognise two samples coming from the same source.
This will also be a sensitivity test for their taste buds.

Anybody who decides to undertake a fast prior to this competition will have a huge advantage. Fasting heightens senses especially taste and smell.

The winner will receive a gift voucher for 60 min. long Swedish Massage including stress relieve head massage valued at $60.

As usual there will be raw fruit & vegetable goodies to be sampled.

Suggested contribution: $5 per person
Lucky door prize will be drawn!

Looking forward to seeing you there

Until then, take care.

It is awesome. I could see the state of love that he was in. It is beautiful. I had an interesting experience when I detoxed for seven days a couple weeks ago. I realised that we didn't need food except to refuel. It was kind of scary an enlightening." Toni Fonoti

    •  Thank you very much for this amazing seminar today. I enjoyed every bit. It was just great for me to be in a room with people just like myself who are curious and interested in good health. I feel blessed and honoured to have been part of this session today. I feel even more inspired to get serious about eating more Raw Food as well. Can't wait to try making my own Raw food meals.
    •  The meeting was certainly worthwhile attending. One thing I was really to keen to hear about when I first saw the topic list a few weeks before was that sprouting was going to be discussed. I was a bit disappointed that this only got a brief mention, but I guess there was a lot to be covered in the few hours it was on so I can understand that not everything can be extensively discussed. Perhaps sprouting can have a whole session devoted to it at a future meeting. Really enjoyed the raw food demonstration by Isaac & Leisa, great to see first hand how easy it is to prepare raw food meals to incorporate into my diet in place of cooked foods.
    •  Thank you everyone for your participation and for creating such a great atmosphere at our meeting on Saturday. Your support is important to us and we appreciate it. See you next month.
    •  Thanks so much for organising such a fantastic meeting Rado! I thoroughly enjoyed the whole event. This was my first 'taste' of raw food and I loved it!! Laura's treats were just delicious, and your water presentation was fascinating. I learnt heaps and can't wait for the next one :)
    •  lots of people attended to-day, many of them new. Had to leave just as the warer tasting began. The meeting was superb. Learning heaps about each subject presented thanks rado hugs syivia
    •  Water is really intersting. I didn't know that QLD adds sodium fluorine. I checked it on the Internet, it's seems for money. sodium fluorine is aluminium waste and if lot of people use fluorine, they can get money! Furthemore, the human body doesn't have sodium fluorine....
