My husband, youngest son Jace, 21, and I (Lovey Jane) will be offering our 6 weeks to More Raw "Uncooking" Classes starting on March 12th. The classes are from 7pm - 9pm in Lee's Summit at the Duncan Estates Community Center.
All the classes are $35 paid in advance or $40 at the door.
All classes include recipes, information, our life experiences of eating this way for almost 5 years, demos and yummy food! Also your cohabitating partner or child over 12 years old can attend for free. (nursing babies are always welcome)
If you want to pay for all 6 classes in advance we will gift you one class so instead of $210.00 it will cost $175.00!!!!
We have had many people who are already eating raw take our classes to learn all of our tips and tricks and we have had people who do not eat any raw and want to learn how to add more. A few people have taken our classes more than once just to eat the food and be around like minded people.
We are not trying to convince you to go vegan or to go all raw but we are trying to educate everyone on the benefits of adding more raw fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts to your diet.
These classes always sell out so please sign up quickly. You may want to only take one or a few of the classes and that's ok but remember the best deal is to take them all.
3/12 Week 1: How and why we went raw, equipment, supplies, pantry, where to shop and uncommon ingredients. How to make nut milks, sauces, noodles, and an easy chocolate dessert that will knock your socks off.
3/19 Week 2: Juicers, blenders and food processors. We will show what to look for when shopping and how to make yummy juices, smoothies, soups and a pate.
3/26 Week 3: Soups and salads: Salads are a staple and you want them to be tasty and filling. Come learn from the masters! We have easy salad dressing recipes and tips and tricks that will change your salad making into hearty meals. We will make some soups, some salad dressings and some marinades.
4/2 Week 4: Dehydrator: How and why to use one. Vegan bacon, breads, crackers, cookies and more. You won't believe these foods are raw.
4/9 Week 5: Cultured Foods 1 (too many to fit into 1 class) How and why you would want to culture or ferment your foods. kombucha, rejuvelac, pickles, sauerkraut and kimchi. (You will go home with a starter to make your own kombucha.)
4/16 Week 6: Cultured Foods 2 cashew cheeze, cheezecake (Our most popular class as Loran's cheeezecakes are out of this world) (You will go home with a starter to make your own cheeze.)
