Raw and living food consists of uncooked fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouted grains. It is a 100% vegan plant-based diet (except for the occasional use of honey in some dishes) consisting of foods that are not processed, heated, or cooked in order to preserve their nutrition and enzymes. Sounds healthy, but does it taste good? You bet!
Delicious meals, soups, desserts, smoothies, etc. can be prepared with little effort and with basic kitchen appliances such as a food processor and/or a blender. You can also make delicious crackers and other dishes with a dehydrator if you want to further explore the cuisine. This is not a diet of self-deprivation!
Many people in the group are not 100% raw, so don't be intimidated :-) Anyone interested in the raw/living food diet and lifestyle is welcome!
