March Raw Sarasota Social & Potluck Event

Greetings Raw Sarasota,

Wow! We just reached 900 members & this is event number 122 since the group started! Very impressive participation for a relatively small town like Sarasota. We must be a healthy-minded community. :)

Please read through this invitation to the end.

I'm so grateful that Fogartyville & WSLR, Sarasota's super cool independent radio station, have agreed to host our March Potluck Social event. A big thanks to Arlene Sweeting, founder & station manager of WSLR, for her support of our Raw Sarasota group.

The ukulele group will also be at Fogartyville, so we'll have a chance to hear them play their lighthearted tunes.

WSLR will be selling organic wine, with no sulfites added, for $5/glass, and coconut water.

Please bring a large, vegan, raw & organic dish to share, along with serving utensils. And bring an index card with your list of ingredients, please.

All ingredients should be raw (not pasteurized), organic & vegan (no cheese or dairy of any kind). See link for recipe ideas below.

All food preparation should be done in clean environments using basic hygiene principles.

• Long hair tied back. Short hair in a hat.

• Wash hands before starting and anytime after hands come into contact with any contaminants.

• Cutting boards for fruits and vegetables should never be used for animal flesh or dairy or eggs. This avoids cross-contamination.

• Sampling should be done with a clean utensil each time. No mouth contact with foods being prepared to share.

If you RSVP to this event, you have agreed to these sanitary kitchen procedures.

A dish can be simple (like cut, fresh fruit or veggies or a bowl of raw, organic nuts) or raw gourmet.

$2 with dish & $10 without dish
Plates, utensils, napkins, cups, & filtered water included

To your vibrant health & happiness!

Thanks for the guidelines jenna.. I'm here with Graffs and they send their love. You are awesome. I miss you - and would love to be with your group.. Maybe later this year, I can come over and give my talk Can Food Put You in the Mood. I love the video Markus Rothkranz did, but would like to add something about girls who don't get their period because they have hormonal imbalance and/or low body weight. But it was a great pleasure to work with he and Cara. Love u and Look forward to seeing you again! Love Love Love to all my friends in Sarasota.

Love to you & the Graffs, Katharine! Food & Mood...a strong connection. Look forward to seeing you again.
I've heard and read some interesting things about the "moon cycle" and that perhaps under ideal, anti-inflammatory dietary conditions, there's no blood shed. What do you think about that?

I am a vegetarian thinking of transitioning to vegan. I am trying to educate myself on recipes etc.

Has the amount of food taken improved? In the past my experience has been if you are not early in line the there is little left of many of the dishes.

Plenty of food, Van. And we serve everyone so portions work out better.
