Greetings, Raw Sarasota! My apologies for the long gap between meetings. I've missed you! Have been working on plans to start a raw business & did some traveling, including three weeks in Italy with my mom. Time well-spent. Hope you're having a great summer & I forward to seeing you again, or meeting you for the first time.

I am always grateful when Fogartyville & WSLR, Sarasota's super cool independent radio station, host our August Potluck Social event. A big thanks to Arlene Sweeting, founder & station manager of WSLR, for her support of our Raw Sarasota group.
WSLR will be selling organic wine, with no sulfites added, for $5/glass, and coconut water.
Please bring a large, vegan, raw & organic dish to share, along with serving utensils. And bring an index card with your list of ingredients, too.
All ingredients should be raw (not pasteurized), organic & vegan (no cheese or dairy of any kind). See link for recipe ideas below.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded of sanitary food preparation procedures.
All food preparation should be done in clean environments using basic hygiene principles.
When preparing food:
• Long hair tied back. Short hair in a hat.
• Wash hands before starting and anytime after hands come into contact with any contaminants.
• Cutting boards for fruits and vegetables should never be used for animal flesh or dairy or eggs. This avoids cross-contamination.
• Sampling should be done with a clean utensil each time. No mouth contact with foods being prepared to share. If you RSVP to this event, you have agreed to these sanitary kitchen procedures.
A dish can be simple (like cut, fresh fruit or veggies or a bowl of raw, organic nuts) or raw gourmet.
$2 with dish & $10 without dish
