Musical Social & Raw Potluck

Greetings, Raw Sarasota!

Please read through this invitation to the end.

Thank you to Fogartyville & WSLR, Sarasota's super cool independent radio station,  for hosting our September potluck. A big thanks to Arlene Sweeting, founder of WSLR & manager of the station's public event space, Fogartyville, for her support of our Raw Sarasota group.

WSLR will be selling coconut water & organic wine, with no sulfites added, for $5/glass.

Please bring a large, vegan, raw & organic dish to share, along with serving utensils. And please bring an index card with your list of ingredients, too.

The fabulous Brenda Watty is all that AND a big bowl of greens! In my absence (I'll be doing yoga teacher training in Thailand) she'll host this event and also provide her wonderful singing entertainment. If you can help out, please let her know.

All ingredients should be raw (not pasteurized), organic & vegan (no cheese or dairy of any kind). See link for recipe ideas below.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded of sanitary food preparation procedures.

All food preparation should be done in clean environments using basic hygiene principles.

When preparing food:

• Long hair tied back. Short hair in a hat.

• Wash hands before starting and anytime after hands come into contact with any contaminants.

• Cutting boards for fruits and vegetables should never be used for animal flesh or dairy or eggs. This avoids cross-contamination.

• Sampling should be done with a clean utensil each time. No mouth contact with foods being prepared to share. If you RSVP to this event, you have agreed to these sanitary kitchen procedures.

A dish can be simple (like cut, fresh fruit or veggies or a bowl of raw, organic nuts) or raw gourmet.

Donation:
$2 with dish & $10 without dish
Plates, utensils, napkins, cups, & filtered water provided.

Is it Sept 14 or Nov. there were two dates??

Still Sept. 14, Janet. Also Nov. 9. The Nov event accidentally replaced the Sept event when I intended to add it. Went back & added it. So, now you can RSVP to one or the other, or both.

Was the only Sunday our venue was available in September. And it's the same day as my birthday. And the same day my yoga teacher training begins in Thailand. A busy day! Have a great class, Tess! :)

Would be great if you could teach a raw class for our group. Maybe at a different venue in October, as our venue isn't available any Sunday that month.
