The picnic area is so beautiful. With the constant gentle breeze from the fan, we all felt very comfortable. Jeremy had the audience captivated with his depth of knowledge on mushrooms. Not only are mushrooms beneficial for the body but also vital for our environment. We enjoyed tasting the Chaga and Reishi mushroom teas. They each have a very different and unique flavor.

Just a quick note about Jeremy. Besides being an expert on mushrooms and the immune boosting properties of each one, Jeremy has his degree in environmental science. He is passionate about educating people on what they can do as individuals to make our environment greener and restoring its health. Even if you don't come for the potluck, it will be worth it to come to hear his presentation.
Hopefully by evening, the humidity will be lower. The park is a little cooler with all the trees to offer shade and protection from the sun. The pavilion is well shaded by the trees. I also will bring a fan to offer a slight breeze. I will also have fresh, filtered water with ice cubes. And for those who don't like to sit on the benches, I am bringing folding chairs.
We usually have this potluck at my office. Unfortunately, the area for the potluck was flooded and it just is not usable at this time. Next month we will be in a new location. Stay tuned for details.
