How about shooting in Infrared (B&W & Color) digitally?

“I'm very interested in learning to shoot infrared digitally. In the '90's I shot quite a bit infrared with film. I would like more instructions on the ins & outs.”
It is my understanding that we must shoot in bright light, using tripods and a red filter for B&W. We could shoot at the beach, Griffith Park, or how about the South Coast Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes. Their are incredible options in the South Bay area.

I'm still interested. I live in the south bay. I'm use point and shoot. I got a brand new Coolpix for Christmas. I use it when I go to events in the South Bay/Socal. Maybe the members can get together on our own to take pictures at a spot or at an event. I usually go to events based on my hobbies. Maybe we could go the beach. I'm want to improve my eye for taking photos. Someone who's professional photographer could give the rest of us tips.
