Sydney Real Estate Buying & Investing Meetup Group - with Guest Speaker

**Please arrive by 6.15pm so we can start the meeting promptly at 6:30pm.  We expect to finish by 8pm.**

(from Scott)
Hi all,
First a warm congratulation to Shaun and his wife on the birth of their second child.   As you can imagine, that made it difficult to schedule a club meeting last month but we are now back on track!
With so much club member interest in cash flow positive property opportunities, we have found another possibility that you may want to consider - NRAS (see below).  As we are meeting at our guest speakers office tonight, we are limited to 20 club attendees so RSVP quickly if you want a spot. And let us know if you can’t make it so someone else from our group can attend.

Our Host and Guest Speaker Tonight – Jo Brown, NRAS Specialist - Principal, NRAS Real Estate (for more info)
(from Jo)
The team at NRAS Real Estate invite you to a special club member only seminar to learn all about the government’s National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS). They have been involved in property and finance for over 15 years. As accredited Investment Property Strategists, they not only advise and deliver on investment properties but also mediate between the developer and the investor.
They have been leaders in the NRAS market since 2008 and actively deliver NRAS approved properties to investors. Their client centric focus aims to educate the private investor on NRAS and then assist in the process of acquiring the right property. It's a powerful strategy to maximise the advantages of the government tax free incentives of $9,981 minimum every year for 10 years and at the same time build a sound property investment portfolio.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the savvy property investor. Investors can now combine negative gearing with the NRAS tax credits which thereby turns the negatively geared property into positive cash flow.

And as usual, this meeting of the Sydney Real Estate Buying and Investing Meetup, will again be a chance to meet like minded individuals and share experiences, learning’s and tips with one another.
The mission of our Meetup Group is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop real estate knowledge and investing skills, which in turn foster wealth creation and personal growth.  The Meetup is a relaxed casual event in pleasant comfortable surroundings. If you pick up just one tip from someone else, or avoid one mistake after hearing about what others have been through, then your attendance will have been of value.

See you on the 13th November!!!

    Hy Lyn,
Sorry I've been overseas for the past month in the US, vacation and looking at some property markets/opportunities.

We don't really have any policies on promoting other property related events to our MeetUp group membership. Go ahead and post the link here and invite people to come and see what happens. You can email it to me below as well and I'll give it a look (and may show up if I can).

To all, we are working on some events for the rest of the year. So stay tuned...

More NRAS coming in December. For any that missed out on attending our Nov. 13th presentation from NRAS Real Estate, we are talking to Jo and company about doing it again in early December. Stay tuned for a MeetUp Invite and make sure and RSVP as numbers will again be limited.

For anyone else on the waiting list, we think we can squeeze in another 2 or 3. Give me a quick call on the mobile - first come first serve. We had hoped the Meetup software would manage the meeting/waiting list queue for us, but that seems to be not the case. If we appear a bit disorganized in all of this :) Scott (m)[masked]

Doh! I'm likely to be working, so I'll decline now and give someone on the wait list a chance to step in. I'll keep my eyes open for the next one.

Hi all. I have just declined as I am likely busy tonight, and hopefully I'll be able to get to the next session if it's on!

If anyone can not make it tomorrow night, we would appreciate it if you can withdraw your RSVP so that someone on the waiting list can attend. We are constrained by the size of the NRAS conference room or would have been able to have a larger group. I am working on a follow-up session for those of you on the Waiting List so hang in there :) Look forward to seeing a few of you on Tuesday. And a big end of year event for Dec. in the works-stay tuned!!

For those who have missed the initial 20 spots, please feel free to add your name to the waiting list. We will contact you should there be any cancellations. And if enough demand for a second session, we will look into the possibility of doing it again before year-end.

Here's some homework for those coming next Tues. :)
