September Speed Networking

We all know that business depends on relationships. We also know that in today’s busy world, finding the time for networking isn’t easy. Now REAPS is bringing you the opportunity to make more business contacts in one night than most people make in one month with our September Speed Networking Spectacular.

For our September REAPS monthly meeting on September 24, we're shaking things up. We’re inviting all REAPS members to join us at the Parlor in Bellevuefor the networking event of the year: REAPS Speed Networking.

As one of the oldest real estate investment associations in the country, REAPS has a diverse and talented membership base. We’re also growing. During our July membership drive, we welcomed a record-breaking number of new REAPS members into the association. With all of these real estate professionals and investors, chances are great that the person you need to complete your next deal is right here.

We have people with money to lend, people looking to secure financing, people with properties to sell and people looking to buy, attorneys, title officers, new real estate investors and seasoned investors experienced in everything from wholesaling and rehabbing to long-term holds and short-term holds. At the REAPS Speed Networking event, we’ll make sure everyone meets everyone – in short, fun meetings. With just minutes to talk to each person, you can eliminate the mundane chitchat and cut right to the chase to determine how you may be able to help each other. Just bring yourself and enough business cards and marketing materials to share (we’re aiming for 200 people or more, so make sure to bring enough to go around!), and we’ll do the rest. We’ll share a few tips and tricks for perfecting your 30-second pitch, and we’ll get started meeting and greeting. Your next deal could be just minutes away!

Larry H. Goins is not only licensed as a mortgage lender and mortgage broker in North Carolina and South Carolina, he is also licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina as a Real Estate Broker and General Contractor. Linda A. Winslow, a 1988 graduate of the University of Washington School of Law, was a member of the Washington Law Review from 1986-1988. A Montana native, Linda received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from University of Montana.

Ms. Winslow was admitted to practice before the Washington State Supreme Court on October 31, 1988. In 2005, Ms. Winslow joined Marianne Kingman in establishing the tax services firm of Kingman Winslow, LLC. The only tax services firm in the nation to specialize exclusively in Real Estate Agents and Brokers for their tax accounting needs.

Ms. Winslow is a speaker known for her ability to show real estate agents how tax laws affect their business and how real estate agents can avoid IRS audits. Since 2005 Ms. Winslow has given classes to over 1,000 real estate agents and brokers on Retirement Planning for Real Estate Agents, Real Estate Agents Taxes in A Nutshell, Tax Symposium for Real Estate Agents and Tax Myths and Tips.

Formerly a Senior Tax Manager for eight years with Clark Nuber P.S., a mid-size accounting firm in Bellevue, Washington, Ms. Winslow's practice focused on tax consulting and compliance for real estate developers, tax exempt organizations, individuals, trusts and estates. Her practice included consultations on complex Section 1031 exchanges and representing individuals and exempt organizations in federal and state audits and controversies.

While in her position at Clark Nuber, Ms. Winslow's speaking engagements included continuing education classes for the Washington Bar Association, the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and many groups of non-profit executives and managers.
