Looking for other book lovers? A good story is even better when you've got friends to share it with.
I. The purpose of this book club is to provide a venue for people to express their views and opinions on various books that they have read. The club will read different types of books (ex: fiction, philosophy, poetry, contemporary, classic, memoirs, short stories, biographies, etc) each month. Members will meet once a month to have an open discussion on the selected book(s). (Each month a different member will be given the opportunity to pick their choice of reading material). The discussions will include a variety of questions and debates on the book, author, etc.
II. book club venue/location The book club will meet at various public facilities within the neighborhood (Ex: Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, public library, park, coffeehouse/café, etc). The location will be determined during the meeting.
III. All are welcome to join. Our best meetings are when we have varied opinions and we rely on the experiences of all of our members to contribute to the discussion. There are no restrictions to join the book club.
IV. If you RSVP "Yes" and your plans change, please be courteous and revise your RSVP to "No". Since we sometimes meet at a restaurant I need to close the RSVPs at a certain size and it is not fair to members who would like to come for a spot to go unused. Sometimes it is unavoidable that things can come up at the last minute, however, after three times of being a "no show", you will be removed from the group.
Welcome, BookClub Readers!
