About Our Club
Rotary Club of Las Vegas Red Rock is a new type of Rotary Club – a club primarily comprised of young professionals (or young at heart!), in our 20s to 40s, committed to serving our communities while networking with our peers and members of the community.
What’s a Rotary Club?
Rotary is a global network of over 1.2 million community volunteers. Rotary members are business and professional people who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards, and help build goodwill, peace and understanding in the world.
Some 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries carry out service projects in their local communities and abroad to address such critical issues as poverty, health, hunger, illiteracy, and the environment.
Rotary is comprised of people from all races, religions, and nationalities. Founded in Chicago in 1905, Rotary transcends political, social and historical differences, and brings people of all religions and ethnic backgrounds together to make ours a kinder, healthier, and more peaceful world.
What Does Your Club Do? How Can I Help?
We offer several social events and community service projects every month. Check our calendar to the right for the latest event information. One week we may have a happy hour, the next we might work in a soup kitchen. We have both long term projects and short term projects. If you have a cause you’d like to champion and ask our club to participate, come tell us about it!
Keep in mind, our events and projects are always open to the public. You do not have to be a member to participate. However, if you decide you’d like a say in how the club grows and what activities we participate in, we invite you to join the club – which means you are willing to commit to attending at least 2 events and pay $35 in dues each month. We will also ask you to help us run the club in some way, usually helping to organize a project or committee. That’s it.
