6:30PM-7:30PM: Kramer explains Why Your Product Owner Keeps Ditching You

Vanishing Product Owners is a growing—and disturbing—trend for Agile teams. Missing key Agile events/ceremonies, failing to approve built stories/code, not making decisions, not sitting with the team, not engaging with the team—what’s going on? If we don’t get this critical role realigned with our efforts, Agile will be impossible to evolve. Find out what’s causing your Product Owner to ditch the team...and what you can do about it.

Elizabethe Kramer (just Kramer to her teams) leads Agile initiatives for clients such as Nationwide Insurance, Pfizer, Samsung, Cisco, and ZTE Corporation (China). Currently, she coaches and teaches advanced Agile practices and artifacts to other Agile Coaches and Product Owners. She has been a Product Owner three times.

Her comments were spot on and well organized. Maybe next time we can make it less of a presentation i.e. more interaction with the audience. IMHO there were moments that could have used audience questions or participation to break up the speech.

Just so somebody knows. I RSVP'd but I have an elderly father and he is coming home to his house on wednesday and if there are complications, I may not be able to attend. While I hardly understand the topic I am interested in web programming and I look forward to meeting people who are professionals in the field. Even if I can't attend I look forward to another event.
