About Our Speaker:
Kevin Hale is the co-founder of Infinity Box, Inc., a company seeded by Y Combinator. He is responsible for safe guarding the user experience of the Wufoo application and designing every pixel of its interface. As much as Kevin likes keeping things clean and reliable, he loves innovation. He writes about interface design issues for the web development blog, Particletree and served as editor-in-chief of the web development magazine, Treehouse. As a child, Kevin was the kid in class who ate a box of crayons for a dollar.

I'm ready to buy Wufoo's book if they ever write one. Kevin's presentation was inspiring, and I intend to continue moving in the direction of service-oriented design. I especially appreciated the clever connection between dating and marriage as models to use when thinking about how to design an application for visitors and customers.

From the perspective of a Customer Relationship Systems Developer this presentation was amazing. It brought many things to mind and forced me to evaluate many of the decisions myself and people around me make in reguards to the development of our customers and how that relationship is nurtured. The discussions it created between my girlfriend and I were lasting throughout the night as we both are involved in many of the principles that were covered. Another thing that came to my mind was the vast amount of businesses and web applications which have failed to keep the marriage to me lasting. I remember when I divorced my cable company, when I divorced my last 2 cell carriers and I broke up with myspace. Not only do you remember your first date with a business, If you have a bad one, or a bad marriage you never forget it.
