Addictive behaviors create suffering and separate us from ourselves, each other, our environment, and the Universe. The Four Truths of Refuge Recovery come from a Buddhist perspective that says, “All beings have the power and potential to free them-selves from suffering.” We feel confident in the Buddha’s teachings to relieve suffering of all kinds, including the suffering of addiction.
The Fire Lotus Recovery Group will be meeting to investigate Buddhist principles applied to recovery from addiction of all kinds. Our group recognizes and respects multiple perspectives and multiple approaches to recovery; we are gathered in the spirit of investigation and deepening of our practice. We do not claim any authority; we encourage you to investigate the truth and value of Buddhist practice as applied to your recovery.
The Fire Lotus Recovery Group will meet at the Compassion & Insight Center in the Owyhee Plaza Hotel in the Gallery (ground level off of the parking lot in the adjacent building to the main plaza entrance) on Saturdays from 6-7 PM. For more information please feel free to contact Benjamin @[masked]-7286.
Everyone is welcome—people in recovery from all kinds of addictions, family members, friends, seekers, and those who work as healing professionals in the field.
