It is with great pleasure and pride that we the members of the Afropolitan Youth Association invite you to join us, for the 12th Annual African Festival, “FestAfrica 2014: African Youth Education”, to be held on Saturday & Sunday August 9th & 10th, 2014 from 1pm to 8pm both days. To support our theme we shed spot light on the African Library Project. FestAfrica will be held at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring. 1 Veterans Place Silver Spring MD, 20906 (Corner of Fenton St. and Ellsworth Drive).
The festival is Free to the Public.
We invite you to the largest African Festival in the MD/DC area with over 8,000 people expected to attend the 2-day celebration. The festival will feature music by local and international African music and dance performances, African cuisine, vendors, games for children, health fair, career fair, and tourism fair.
