Philosophy of Religion & Evolution of the God Concept

10:30 a.m. – Philosophy of Religion (Transcendental Talk is "Sound & Fury")
11:30 p.m. – Evolution of the God Concept (Well, Aren't We Special)

This week, we will continue our study of the philosophy of religion and how the concept of god evolved. Philosophy of Religion is presented mainly in the form of a 1/2 hour video followed by about 1/2 hour of discussion. Our primary resource for the god concept portion of the program is "The Evolution of God" by Robert Wright. This week we will be discussing chapter 20 entitled "Well, Aren't We Special" - about 13 pages.   Go ahead and attend even if you have not read the material.

Participants are encouraged to contribute essays or comments that they might have found about either subject. Personal opinions and views are welcome as well!

Persons on the Skeptical Religion email distribution list are sent additional useful material. If you want to be placed on that list, send a request to [masked], but make sure to specify that you want to be on the Skeptical Religion distribution list.

How can I "share" this event on Facebook if I am not going (I am still stumbling around the new meetup layout)?
