THE REPUBLICAN LIBERTY CAUCUS -- GUILTY!! The Los Angeles County chapter is encouraging subversive Constitutionally-protected patriotic activity. But because we are also fiscally conservative, we want to save the average taxpayer the cost of a Department of Homeland Security drone surveillance. Thankfully, FilmTools has stepped up, armed with a non-armed drone, to keep an eye on us all. Call it a publicity stunt, call it a signature strike. This event will be unlike any other you have ever been a part of. Please bring friends and family with your picnic!
Whether it's the NorCal Tea Party vs. IRS, Antiwar.com vs. FBI, children vs. Kathleen Sebelius, or Fox News vs. DOJ, big government's true nature is on full display. Big Brother is Watching? Or are The People just starting to wake up to it? Either way - Good. Let's give them something to watch.
So what do we do about it? Republican Liberty Caucus of L.A. County fearlessly invites you to a potluck picnic on a beautiful scene provided by Central Committee member Stan McClain. We will hear about the real impacts of unconstitutional authortians infringing on real lives of people in our community and California. It's up to us to enforce the Constitution, because the feds will never limit their own power.
*** Update ***
Wow, the amount of RSVPs on Eventbrite so far has been very encouraging. When the Big Brother picnic was first announced, this anti-constitutional federal government had only been exposed through the actions of the FBI, IRS, DOJ, and HHS, but who would have expected the NSA? Surely we could reasonably expect the National Security Agency to check its own power! Who knows what's next? One thing is for sure, our event is gaining timeliness and importance.
Due to an increase in interest, the Republican Liberty Caucus of L.A. County is preparing for a bigger crowd and will incur new expenses. We will supply grills (bring your own meat!) and also rent restroom facilities. It's not cheap, but we're proud to hold events that break down the walls of modern, mainstream discussion and activism. To keep holding events like this, we depend on your donations. As if it wasn't enough to meet Assemblyman Tim Donnelly as well as representatives of Antiwar.com and Code Pink in the same day all under one FilmTools camera-equipped drone, there's more! Volleyball, swimming pool, and rowboat rides on the lake anyone?
If your group/organization would like to sponsor, it's just $25 to run a table plus you'll get 5 minutes microphone time to sound off on Big Brother!
Bring everything you'll need including a blanket or chairs. There is plenty of street parking but Clubhouse Drive is reserved STRICTLY for handicapped placards only. If you need to use Clubhouse Drive as a loading zone, that's fine! RLC ambassadors will be on hand to assist you.
1:30pm RLC Meeting
5:00pm Music and musing
KEYNOTE by Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, the patriot who introduced legislation to preserve habeas corpus and due process for all Californians in the face of "indefinite detention" powers claimed by the feds. Donnelly is no less a champion of parental rights in the face of recent Child Protective Service scandals, calling for an audit of their operations.
Angela Keaton, Director of Operations at Antiwar.com, the non-interventionist home for independent journalism which has been under secret FBI surveillance, with a lawsuit now moving forward.
Candice Camargo of Code Pink Los Angeles, a women's group dedicated to peace and transparency, famously exposing the lies of President Obama's recent drones speech through the voice of Medea Benjamin.
