Support Ron Paul at Clay Republican Party Meeting

Early voting has begun

There are 5 early voting sites in Clay County, operating from 9:00 to 6:00 during the week and 9:00 to :300 next Saturday. The local Romney campaign is planning on covering these sites, we need to be on scene to show people that they have a real choice in this election: RON PAUL! Romney/Santorum/Gingrich don't have a dimes worth of difference between them and offer NOTHING but "more of the same." More government based solutions, more interventionism, more debt, more restrictive laws, more government intrusiveness, more empty rhetoric. No thanks.

Working the early voting sites is easy, all you do is wave a sign and offer brochures to anyone who wants them. The idea is that you 1) Are representing Ron Paul to a voter right before they vote, 2) if they take a brochure they are likely to share it with other voters, and 3) this also acts as a "sign bomb" in that you will be visible to passing traffic.

The 5 early voting sites are:

Orange Park Public Library

Fleming Island Public Library

Middleburg Public Library

Tax Collectors Office in Keystone Heights

Supervisor of elections office in Greencove Springs

It is statistically proven that most voters don't make up their minds until a few days before an election. While a number of voters do vote early, the VAST MAJORITY of votes in Florida will be cast on January 31st. RIGHT NOW is the time for us to work and give the establishment republicans an election day surprise.

A very important rule to remember when working a polling site is that you are legally required to stay 100 feet away from the polling site. Ask the poll workers where the 100 foot limit is so you won't be accused of "voter intimidation." At least one of the Romney people has been playing dirty, so I would not be surprised if there are unfounded accusations that the "paulbots" who are "dangerous" are intimidating voters. In case you haven't seen it on facebook, "Clay for Ron Paul" member Margie Shuey and her friend Ruth were actually told by a Romney volunteer at the Clay Republican Headquarters that Ron Paul will not be on the ballot! The Clay GOP chairman did contact me to get Ron Paul signs, which we should be getting very soon, so I do not think that the Clay GOP establishment is itself working to keep down the Ron Paul vote, but nonetheless this incident is outrageous. I'm going to do my best to track this guy down and let him know what a scumbag he is and let everyone else know what kind of tactics the Romney campaign is using. It is completely unacceptable that representitives from ANY campaign should be in the GOP headquarters LYING to voters.

If you are able to work any of the early voting sites please contact me as soon as possible so I can make a schedule. Saturday should be a very busy early voting day so it is especially important we come out in force on that last day of early voting from 9:00 to 3:00. Even if you can't make it during the week, even if you can only come out for an hour or two on Saturday, do what you can because it makes a difference. Contact me as soon as possible so I can make a schedule of times and locations for eveyone.

Monday: I'm going to be working the Orange Park Library from 3:00 to 6:00. I have a sign that says "vote for veteran ron paul," and another sign that says "free Ron Paul brochures." Come by is you are able to join me or pick up superbrochures. I still have about 800 superbrochures and we need to get them to the voters. Come get em. Afterwards I will be going to the Clay Republican Party meeting at 7:00 at the Orange Park Town Hall. I expect a large turnout because there will be speakers for each of the presidential candidates and I will be setting up a table outside to hand out brochures and talk to voters. I could use a few people to help me with the table and we need Ron Paul people in the audience. There is no cost to attend and you don't have to be a Republican. North Florida Ron Paul spokesperson Kristi Dunn will be speaking for the campaign. Come and show support for Ron Paul on Monday night, there will be a number of undecided voters in attendance, we can make an impact. I met two of the "other campaign" speakers a few nights ago, they give a great speach but they start shucking and jiving when you ask them hard questions. We can own this forum.

Tuesday there is a strawpoll in Jacksonville, the details of which are listed below. I think this is a very important Jacksonville event and I intend to cast a vote for Ron Paul. This is a tea party event which a large number of Ron Paul supporters are planning to attend. This is a great opportunity to promote Dr. Paul to the tea party supporters in Jacksonville and a Ron Paul win would be some very good local publicity. Notice that voting will be going on all day long, which means that if you work around Beach Blvd. or can go home that way you can stop and cast a vote without having to attend the 6:00 event.

I would like some suggestions for other activities and for a good night to have another meeting at Opies. Feel free to contact me with anything at [masked].

Tuesday Jan 24, 6:00 pm,

Angies Subs

Stop by Angies Subs anytime Tuesday to cast a vote for Ron Paul in the First Coast Tea Party Strawpoll. Winning the FCTP strawpoll will get Ron Paul A LOT of REAL votes in Jacksonville, and getting votes is what it's all about. Get your friends, family, everyone you know to GO AND VOTE FOR RON PAUL IN THE FCTP STRAWPOLL! If you work anywhere near Angies, get some people together and go for lunch. If you can go home by Beach, stop and cast a vote. If you are coming in to J-ville from Clay or St. Johns, get a few of your friends in a carpool and come VOTE! RON PAUL MATERIALS: Speakers for candidates will begin at 6:00. Come a little early and RLCNEF Vice-Chairman John Stevens will have yard signs and other Ron Paul campaign materials. This will be a good time. It is great being around other Ron Paul supporters, especially in large numbers. Come out and VOTE!
