second meetup

The first meetup was a blast, even though many people were out on holidays we had a full house, so let's gather again for the second meetup.

This time it's about deployment and provisioning, with:

•  Pierre Ozoux from Seedrs to talk about packer.io;

Rodrigo Lima from Webnographer to talk about puppet;

João Jerónimo to talk about "Deployments at CrowdProcess (and how we use ploy, chef and vagrant together)".

It will be at Webnographer's Offices (Rua de São Paulo nº121, on the 3rd floor)

Hope to see you there!

    Well, ploy failed, sorry for that, but I liked the rest... Also I'd like to encourage more people to come up and show unstable stuff that doesn't work, living on the edge is fun ;)

      Since it was a plain echo server I figured a deploy to the production servers wouldn't be a biggie, also it would demonstrate how we deploy to multiple servers in parallel easily ;)

      Btw the reason ploy failed was that all our provisioning recipes use the default "ubuntu" account, present in all ubuntu servers and in the sudoers group, the default one in vagrant is "vagrant"... So things like the user "ubuntu" owning /usr/local and not "vagrant" happened, which wouldn't let npm link work the right way... and so on...

    Yes, great people, great spirit, and a lot of fun! Here you'll find the repository I created to share packer templates, and the presentation I gave : http://pierreozoux.github.io/blog/2013/09/06/contribution-to-packer/

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
