Climate scientists have measured the carbon in fossil fuel supplies still to be burned and the consequences if it is all used.  "Do the Math" features the rising movement to change the terrifying math of the climate crisis, challenge the fossil fuel industry, and promote a global power shift to clean energy. (42 minutes)  Plus video shorts - "Climate Change 101" from the Climate Reality Project (4 minutes), and "300 Years of Fossil Fuels" (5 minutes) from Post Carbon Institute.

After the screening we'll talk about how to make Jackson Heights more sustainable and more resilient.  Links to existing programs, resources, and local civic groups will be provided.

Resilience NYC is organizing screenings in LIC and other neighborhoods.  Contact us for more information.

    Thanks for the invite -
I still haven't seen this movie, and the subway trip looks easy-peasy, but an o-o-o-old friend had a book made into a movie, so I gotta go fawn over him a bit (JK).
Have a great & productive time!
