NETWORKING STARTS AT 6:00PM ... MEETING STARTS AT 7:00PM HI my name is Les. I'm the President of The Edmonton Revenue Property Investors Association. Currently the group is structured with discussion, market trends, seminars and
door prizes. It's a great environment to meet other real estate investors, talk about the business and network. You're also welcome bring any properties or contracts you're looking to sell and present them to the group. Our meetings are dinner meetings. Cost is $10 at the door and you must buy at least $6 worth of food.
This months Guest Speaker:
Cynthia Geria Ganga She owns a foreclosure and REO investment firm located in Edmonton and works the Seattle, Portland and Spokane markets in the Pacific Northwest. Cynthias presentation will be on how karma influences longevity in a business and how although there are sharks doing what she does, she is more likely to close deals because she knows the value and teaches the value of having good karma in everything including business. It will include some of the stats about the sub-prime market in the US (which is false, we are no longer dealing with sup-primes, that wave went through almost 5 months ago, now we are dealing with layoffs, walk aways and general malaise in the market.) and how people here can benefit from it all.
THIS MONTHS OPEN FORUM DISCUSSION THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL MELTDOWN AND HOW IT WILL AFFECT EDMONTONS REAL ESTATE MARKET. *If you wish to do a presentation to our group please contact me to discuss your proposal.

Les was a great host and presenter, and when the speaker didn't show he handled it very well. It did go on longer than I had expected, so I had to leave before it was done (which I hate doing). I appreciated the opportunity to introduce myself as a first-timer and to present some of my listings to the group. Friendly atmosphere and a good venue. I definitely think that you should invest in a projector as you mentioned.

    PROS:
Good mix of people. Lots of different views. Many ACTIVE investors, which was quite inspiring... credit to people who take action :)

    CONS
Sound system was distracting. The venue (Rosie's) is, well, Rosie's. And the overall evening was very long. Also felt somewhat disorganized. Speakers didn't show up, and their last-minute replacements weren't prepared (granted they likely weren't given much notice!). I feel that this meeting could have been an hour or more shorter.

Great meetup. This is a nonprofit organization. Funds collected are used to purchase items such as a video projector for seminars, advertising, etc.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
