Genesee Valley Park to Ford Street Bridge Evening Hike

Thursday August 21, 6.30 p.m.

                                    Easy/moderate ~5 mile hike.

                                                 ~2 hours.

The hike will be beside the Genesee River, going by the U of R Riverside Campus. We will cross the Genesee River several times including over the refurbished Erie-Lakawanna Bridge (formerly a railroad bridge) and will turn aroud at the Ford Street Bridge with its view of downtown Rochester.

Meet in Genesee Valley Park on Elmwood Avenue at the parking lot past the ice-rink and swimming pool toward the river. (Click on map above for location).

    I have never been to this park. Is there adequate parking or do you have to find parking on the streets?

    well, just thought that i should mention that there are restricted lanes on Elmwood headed west and there might be some delays at that hour. you could try coming around Moore and heading north to Elmwood and then make a left @ the traffic light just east of the of luck....
