      Thursday
Overcast with thunderstorms and a chance of rain in the morning, then partly cloudy. High of 66F. Winds from the NNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

Tic Tock Tic Tock 24 hours on the clock

    April 3, 2013

  • Daniel & Jean Jones

Heads up be sure and throw some gogles in your bike. The wind and sand can be rough in the spring. What looks like rain could be a sand storm.

    March 21, 2013

    • Gerry

A wimp like me doesn't need goggles, that's what the face shield is for on my 3/4 hybrid helmet. Never use to wear one. But I actually find I feel less beat up after a long ride wearing one. That, and I can't trust my kids to wipe the drool off my face should anything happen! :)

      April 1, 2013

    • Travis

I,m the same Gerry. I use my face shield most of the time. If I forget to put it down it doesn't take me long to remember now.

      April 1, 2013

  • Blake

We may leave Wednesday afternoon. We will try to catch up with you either in Sonora for lunch or Alpine Thursday night. There will be 4 of us.

    March 29, 2013

    • Travis

If you meet us in Sonora we will be there a half hour either side of 1:00pm.

      March 30, 2013

  • Doug Corry aka Captain HardHead

I have rooms reserved, but my buddy cancelled. If someone wants to share the room ... and cost ... let me know.

    March 28, 2013

  • randy,mari martin

Pulled up and nobody was there:> Oops wrong Thursday..Going back to bed...LOL

    1 · March 28, 2013

  • Travis

Well it is supposedto be a clear night with a cresent moon thursday the 4th. If I feel up to it I will probably ride out to the Marfa lights viewing area after we are checked in and have eaten. It is 18 miles from town. Getting there just before darkwill not be a problem but the ride back to Alpine will be a 40/45 mph ride due to the heavy deer population of the area.

Count me in ... Cathy said she is a maybe depending on her butt *L*

I have slightlymodified the route. If you read the entire post everywhere we are going is listed.

2 Quick questions for Travis - #1 - What time do you anticipate getting into Kerrville? (I know there are no guarantee's, just want to give my wife a time to expect to meet me there so she doesn't sit around all day waiting on me :) )

#2 - Have you had the chance to put the detailed route/map together? That way I can make sure she has a copy so, heaven's forbid I need her to come get me with the trailer for whatever reason, I can give her a rough idea of where I am and she will have the route on paper... just in case! Its going to be a great, fast, safe ride!

    Thanks

    March 19, 2013

    • Travis

My best guess for arriving in Kerrville Sat night would be between 5 and 6 pm. I am still looking at route. It want vary much from the original posted but I will edit it here when I have decided. I plan to get that done this week.

      March 19, 2013

Daniel, Have already decided that getting back at 1 in am is not worth it. Not being a wise acre, but the idiots around Houston area in their 4-wheel cars with cell phones talking and TEXTING scare me more than the wildlife. But you are right. Lots off big game out and my eyes aren't like they used to be. They get tired easily

    December 2, 2012

  • Billy

Thanks Danny ... Yes Cathy will be with Me .. she would kill if left behind...
