RE: [rlccef] July 2nd General Membership Meeting

I basically use an instinct which has served me well for  years for survival. That and years of sales experience and being able to read a person! I know of Jason years and his vendetta against motorcyclist when his father made a mistake on one. Unbeknownst to him I met him some time back at a social gathering. I have lived here since 1957 (I was 5 at the time) and know of his company. When I met him at the function and talked my instinct was not good! A person who will ride whichever way the wind is going and someone like many in this county who are out for themselves only!

I met Dana a few times and did not know her background at all. Not knowing her I found her attentive, seemingly honest and genuine. My instincts have been wrong in the past but not too often. Might not mean much to some and it might to others but this ol country boy tends to feel like  Dana is the smart choice. When others have nothing to talk about but others then it means they have no substance to themselves! My feelings are Jason Steel is about as democrat as they get! Liberal democrats talk in circles, scream and insult! A house built on sand and it is eroding around him!

This good OL Country Boy is endorsing and voting for Dana Blickley!

A couple of comments here, Ms. Brenn:

1)      I don’t think the RLCCEF board directly interviewed any of the candidates – our endorsements were based on some of our members’ experiences with the candidates and how we observed the candidates perform at various club meetings and other appearances. Every time I have seen Jason vs Dana, Dana has stuck to her experience and the issues, while Jason has resorted to personal attacks and silly phrases  like “watch winders vs clock makers”.

2)      In 2009 Jason was Chair of the BREC. At the time we had no standing rules governing the number of meetings prospective members had to attend to be sworn in. I personally brought 43 Tea Party people to the BREC and asked they be sworn in as they were fired up and ready to work. Jason went into dictator mode and declared he wouldn’t  allow Matt Nye to “pack the committee”, in spite of the fact he was completely out of order and had no right or standing to do so. Some of those people haven’t been back to the BREC to this day. BREC Chair was an unpaid, volunteer position, and Jason couldn’t follow the rules there – I shudder to think what the taxpayers would be in for with him in a Charter Officer position.

3)      I don’t think Dana can control how the incumbent chooses to waste taxpayer money. Your gripe is with Ford, not Blickley.

4)      The debate you are referring to was put on by a consortium of groups, not just the RLCCEF.

5)      Jason was on the Bill Mick Live show the following morning at 8am! Did his aunt actually pass that night? If so he got over it pretty quickly… Had he not physically been in Bill’s studio show bright and early the next morning – if he had called in instead, for instance, people wouldn’t be questioning his story.

6)      No oath, BREC or otherwise, should require anyone to support or vote for someone as corrupt as Jim Ford. Jason has repeatedly stated he thinks Ford is corrupt, but he would support and vote for him because the BREC oath says he should? I don’t care what the RPOF oath says – I won’t support a crooked Republican, period. That is exactly what is wrong with the Republican Party, and one of the reasons the RLC exists. BTW, the oath only says you won’t support someone financially or otherwise – I don’t think it actually says you can’t vote for the other guy in the privacy of the voting booth. I don’t understand why people get so hung up on this – if you actually reach a conflict in regards to the oath on a race you deem important you simply resign from the BREC and support your candidate. Once the elections are over, you put in your time and rejoin the BREC.

A word of advice – go sell this crap somewhere else. You’re not doing Jason any favors here, because you’re pissing me off. If you piss me off badly enough I might have to start sifting through the various threatening voicemails Jason has left me over the years and make them available to his opponents so the public can hear the real Steele in his own words. I don’t think you would want that if you are actually supporting Mr. Steele. Capiche?

Sincerely,

Matt Nye

Have you ever wondered how the RLC makes its endorsement?  Ever wonder if it is fair and balanced?  The RLC has endorsed Dana Blickley in the Property Appraiser race without ever inviting anyone else or interviewing them.  Here are the principles of the RLC:  less taxes, less government, and more individual freedom.  Yet the RLC has endorsed a woman who has wasted $600,000 of the taxpayer's money (the amount voiced by Jim Ford at one of the few debates he DID attend) on a personal feud that has nothing to do with us, the taxpayers.  She has been a bureaucrat for over 20 years and said on the Bill Mick show that she cannot wait to get elected so she can get inside your homes and do inspections!  Not only that, but in a debate with Jason Steele she publicly stated that if she were not the chosen candidate in August  she would vote for the Democratic candidate.  Why is that an issue you ask?  Ms. Blickley took an oath to follow the BREC rules, which this expressly prohibits - as a member of BREC you must publicly support the Republican candidates.  I am not nor ever have been a BREC member, but this smacks as hypocracy  since she has also been crowing in each debate that the oath she took upon entering public service was sacred.  One oath is and the other is not?  Excuse me?

I also think it should be noted that much has been made of the fact that Jason Steele did not attend the debate that this organization and others put on.  He stated that he missed it due to a family emergency, which apparently some people do not believe.  He actually was called, along with his brothers, to the deathbed of an aunt who helped raise him that night.  She has since passed.  Shame on anyone for using this for political reasons!  Mr. Steele has met Ms. Blickley on several occasions for debates, will be meeting her today, and again on the Bill Mick show.
