I too have watched this string and shut up for a  long.time. If it were not for leadership like Matt . Bruce and Sean, many liberty movements in brevard county would never be were they are today . I worked along with all of them since 2007 and I don't remember any others around for this fight at that time .

I think its time to fire up the local campaign for liberty  meet up's  again, I am still a precinct leader for the county ...   principle over party. should never be compromised. .  RLC did not even support my campaign "thanks for letting me get that out"  I was told they supported the incumbent , and his voting record "WAS NOT BAD at ALL, yet I never saw him show up at a meet up or support the RLC ..  , maybe I am glad  that they did not support me now. !!!  sometimes you have to look in the mirror and make sure your not  turning into the very people you despised so much when you began the fight.for Liberty .

the scare tactic's are just riduclus its not about a one man puppet named obama.. Obama does not pull the strings on his own.  If the powers to be want romney it will be romney if the powers to be want obama it will be obama.  we need to keep fighting for liberty and a majority in the house and senate and liberty candidates on State and local level...

Bruce,

My most sincere apologies for misspelling the Acronym.  But, just to keep it all straight - It's BOJWON, not BOJWAN.

Gee, if you were so against McCain in 2008, how'd we wind up with Obama in the White House. It seems your thinking, no matter what it was, didn't save us in '08, and it doesn't sound like it will save us in '12. By the way, who do YOU think can defeat Obama in this election?

I accuse Sean of trying to dilute the support for the strongest candidate out there in a position to defeat Obama. If you deem my opposition to his effort a "mindless little game" you can buzz off too!

No. I don't know Sean personally, but based on his email comments to me, I don't figure I'm missing anything.

I never made any claim that Romney is the savior to the Republic or anything of the sort. - Did you call him "Mittens"? That's really cute. -  I said the PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO DEFEAT OBAMA. I printed it caps so you won't miss it. Romney is the strongest candidate in the race to DEFEAT OBAMA, and after Obama is defeated, we can try to get a better candidate elected in 2016, but with only 71 days left to the 2012 election, Romney is the best choice we have.... to defeat Obama!  Ron Paul may, or may not be, a better choice, but he CAN'T get elected this November, unless everyone else drops out of the race. Since that's not likely going to happen, Romney is the best shot we have to DEFEAT OBAMA.

To answer your question, I'm in this thread because its an open thread and there are RLC members who invited me to comment.  If you don't like that, close the thread to those who oppose your views and have not signed your membership card. I don't believe I need permission to reply to any email I receive from an RLC member.

I don't disagree with your "Statement of Principles" or the mission of the RLC. But, considering theRLC "Statement of Principles", the PRIMARY OBJECTIVE for this election remains the same, and that is TO DEFEAT OBAMA. ( I've said that, haven't I?)

So, I close with the same question to you that I asked Sean - Who do you think can defeat Obama in November? I don't care who you would LIKE to have win... I'd like Goldie Hawn to leave Kurt Russell, but my question is; Who do you think can defeat Obama in November?

p.s. -

Did you infer I was a "typical nitwit, knee-jerk, neo-con"?   That would hurt my feelings and make me feel......... sad.

(Not really - I was just joking' with ya.)

OK...I've watched and read these threads....and stayed out of it, mostly because I'm tired of arguing with the typical nitwit, knee jerk, neo-con's who over and over again support the Republican establishment at the expense of the Republic.

It happened in 2008 with McCain and all you supposed "Tea Partiers" said it would never happen again. Well...guess what? You all are doing it again with Mittens and his trusty little sidekick. I didn't buy it then and I'm sure as hell not buying it now.

And "Bojwan", the term is RINO...not RHINO. And how dare you accuse Sean of having ANYTHING but the best interests of our Constitutional Republic in mind. You certainly don't know him.

You just go ahead with your mindless little game, but try to remember a little history.

What makes you think that Romney is going to do anything at all to save the country? When he is in office, he (and Ryan) will pursue the same big government agenda that they always have...and...with a Republican House and possibly Senate that will go along to get along (just as you are doing) as they did with Bush.

Remember the Real ID Act, Patriot Act, Prescription Drug Plan, TARP, Bailouts, etc. etc.?

No Republican resistance of any substance! It will be the same all over again.!

And, as to the endless wars (and the endless bogeymen created by PNAC, AIPAC, the ADL, and the MSM)...this is the mailing list of the Republican Liberty Caucus...right? Here's part of the Statement of Principles:

"We favor foreign military action only upon a Declaration of War by Congress in the face of an imminent and clear threat to the United States. We favor a clear strategy for entrance into and conclusion of any foreign engagement and a definable goal that constitutes victory.

We oppose the exercise of executive War Powers in the absence of a Declaration, except in the face of an immediate and direct threat to the United States. We oppose any treaty or international agreement that puts American troops under the control or authority of any other executive or administrative power."  http://www.rlc.org/about/statement-of-principles/#5

If you don't get that....why are you on this list?

SAUL ALINSKY?!!  That's a tactic the Democrats use. "Reverse Accusations"!   It's Obama that has connections to Saul Alinsky, Sean.

Don'y you read?

And its only OBAMA that you're helping with your divisive talk! You've already exposed where your true allegiance lies, long ago!

Let everyone re-read my reply to your rhetoric. There was no hate. I simply said that any talk to divert votes away from Romney/Ryan will benefit Obama.

I can understand how you would hate that, knowing where YOUR support lies and what your true intentions are.

I can't wait to hear what you'll say to divide the support for Romney after he's declared the official GOP candidate.

You're a RHINO, Sean. Your arguments benefit only Obama.

So Says,

The BOJWON ( I'm hiding behind my nickname so nobody knows who I really am.)

The "Fact" is simple; The primary objective is to beat Obama and Ron Paul can't do that. Vote for the ticket that can beat Obama. But the way most people with a thinking, functioning brain (with neurons that fire) would think that Romney/Ryan is the ticket with the best shot to do that.

Of course, there are some that will still write in names like Ron Paul, Gary Johnson, Popeye, Clark Kent and even Sean Freeman, but that would only help Obama win because none of those names can defeat Obama!

We need to assemble everyone together, to defeat Obama. Those who take a different view and cast a vote for a ticket that cannot win, will only contribute to an Obama second term.

So, moan and groan, and call those who want to defeat Obama "Sheeple" but what I've said here, is a fact!  Any vote for any ticket other than the Romnet/Ryan ticket will be a vote that could help put Obama into a second term.

Now, let me hear some "Mental Midget" accuse me again of asking for support for the Pepsodent Smile guy with a $2:00 haircut. It's just more divisive talk that helps ONLY the Obama team.

The PRIMARY OBJECTIVE is to beat Obama in November. Do what you can to make that happen or help the enemy win. That's the choice we have. It's Obama or Romney - There are plenty of others you can vote for, but there are NO other potential winners in this election, other than Romney or Obama.  So, vote for Romney, or cast your vote for anybody else and help Obama win.

THAT is the reality in this election.

Is the GOP self-destructing?

Stop the Establishment from Rewriting the RNC Rules

As you may know the Romney camp is pushing new rules that would strip grassroots activists of any meaningful ability to participate in presidential politics. The process has always been bottom-up, but Romney officials have rewritten the rules so that the nominee can stifle any dissent on the platform committee and even unseat delegates. Make no mistake, this will weaken the process by which Republicans chose their candidate for president and push the grassroots out of the party process.
From Buzzfeed reporter Zeke Miller: "The Republican National Convention Rules Committee voted 63-38 to approve a new rule allowing granting the Republican National Committee - and Mitt Romney - sweeping new powers to amend the governing document of the GOP.

The move came at the encouragement of Mitt Romney supporters on the committee, including Romney's top lawyer Ben Ginsberg, who stressed that it would grant "flexibility" to Romney and the committee to adapt to changing political environments. The rule allows the RNC to amend the party's rules without a vote by the full Republican National Convention. And it offers the Republican Establishment a new tool to keep at b[a]y Tea Party initiatives that threaten to embarrass or contradict party leadership and stray from a planned message." (emphasis added)
Please locate the phone number of your State Republican Party Headquarters below, call them immediately, and tell them to oppose Romney's new rules that strip grassroots activists of the ability to participate in the Republican platform process:
