RE: Failing to Understand the Depth of the Federal Reach

No, Frank, you don’t get it and after 30+ years of studying Austrian economics I do not need a lecture.

The ENTIRE world economy is debt based.  NOTHING is not now being subsidized by the massive debt being rung up by government at all levels and the private sectors.

When the debt merry go round ends you will then discover what I mean.  Whether it ends with mass inflation (likely) or mass deflation (possibly) NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON in this nation will be unaffected and I don’t care what your job is.

You are not asking questions.  There is no question in your commentary.

If you think the major financial issue facing this country is pensions your head is very deep in the sand.  Local governments are going bankrupt but they don’t take the currency with them.

Re-reading your e-mail you act as if you and you alone fail to benefit from the massive debt spree.  Everyone has benefited, whether they desired to or not.  I have had this discussion with numbers of small businessmen and employees of private companies who completely fail to take into account much of what their customers spend is income from a debt based economy, and when the ability to borrow goes away, so does the income.  Failure to comprehend the intense depth and reach of an economy driven by trillions in annual borrowing leaves one exposed to the final breakdown of said economy over the next decade.

I will not get personal over the Hypocrite Hunter’s Club.  I will say I’m glad you are discovering free market economics but no one appreciates a self appointed zealot preacher.

Scott,

Not sure about the reference to "failing to understand the depth of the federal reach."  Your comment almost seems like you are justifying theft.  The $2 Trillion of federal deficit spending is a false (and inflation-based) economy.  The bottom line literally, fiscally and figuratively is that we must stop theft.  Laissez-faire capitalism requires minimum government.  I am a bit surprised at you right now.  You are getting back onto the public dole (but you have at least refused the pension) and you recently stated that it is up to the next Sheriff, Property Appraiser and other most likely newly elected Republicans to follow their consciences regarding whether they will accept pensions.  I am troubled by such a tepid suggestion unless, to borrow a phrase from you, the ring is fitting you perfectly.  A mailer or two recently came out in the property appraiser's race stating or suggesting Jim Ford was a double dipper or even a triple dipper.  Is Wayne Ivey not an FDLE retireee?  Do we bury our heads in the sand or do liberty-minded folks actually call the question - Will Wayne Ivey be a double dipper if he is elected Sheriff?  How about 20 year Property Appraiser's office former employee Dana Blickley?

Wow, rereading my e-mail, it looks to me like the Hypocrite Hunter's Club might will have a bountiful hunting season.

Just asking some questions to my intellectual guru here in Brevard County Brother Scott. :)

You fail to understand the depth of the Federal reach on income and expenditures.  There is not one single job left not impacted by Federal spending.  None.  The whole country, public and private sector, has been living off $2 trillion a year in debt – Federal, State, local, private, non-governmental debts, an entire standard of living for every single job in America based on massive debt.

If Romney and thugs are all we have Roger, I want to see President Obama re-elected so we can accelerate, not prolong, the economic and fiscal implosion.  I am fully confident in my own abilities to live free or die in accordance with laissez-faire capitalism.  Not sure about the rest of the folks on the government dole in the form of congressmen (with health insurance and pension plans for which I am forced to pay in addition to my own outlays for such items), Social Security recipients and Medicare recipients (for whom I am forced to pay via theft otherwise known as payroll deduction, Medicaid recipients (whose benefits for which I am forced to pay are the result of a tag team effort of state government theft motivated by a federal government match of that theft), state employees (with health insurance and pension plans for which I am forced to pay in addition to my own outlays for such items).  The folks on the government dole. . . Did I just call out 75 percent of the folks in Brevard County?  Oooops.

Frank,

No question this is a disturbing turn of events. I agree this effort to change the rules should be opposed. However, I am not sure how this should influence the vote. I still believe the winner in this election will be either one of two candidates; Obama or Romney. I do not believe any other person can, or will, emerge the winner unless there is a very unexpected  event causing a change in the participants. That being said, WHO DO YOU THINK CAN BEAT OBAMA IN THIS ELECTION?

I keep asking that question, and the only answers I get are:

1) Look at Romney's voting record

2) I'll vote for the Constitutional Candidate of my choice

3) Ron Paul is the True Conservative candidate

4) Gary Johnson - ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha......... ha.

5) The objective in this election is not to beat Obama - It is to restore our Republic

6)  Who asked me to be in this thread anyway?

But, nobody provides the name of a candidate they think can beat Obama. And if we don't beat Obama, it doesn't matter who anybody would LIKE to see win - OBAMA will win if we don't defeat him!

So, before anybody starts thrashing me because of this attempted "power grab" by the Romney camp, I'll state right up front that I don't agree with it.

But, who else do we have that can beat Obama?

Is that not the primary objective, or are those in this thread that are willing to have Obama for another four years? If Obama wins, we have him for another 4 years!!

Please people... WHO DO YOU THINK CAN BEAT OBAMA IN THIS ELECTION?

Roger

I posted the above link to the article to avoid an imploding thread in which it was contained.  This way, anyone who can focus on the facts without the personal attacks may do so.

I did not join the Republican Party and write a resolution (that was ultimately approved by the BREC and some seventeen other county RECs) to defeat top-down thuggery in the RPoF so that top-down thuggery can thrive at the RNC.

To be clear, I will vehemently work against Mitt Romney if a rules change occurs as described in the article.

Sincerely,

Frank Zilaitis
