The problem I see Frank is that both "sides of the aisle" are lying to the American People.
"Cutting Medicare spending" doesn't "cut funds to hospitals", it cuts health care services to people and that helps "sustain" the "trust fund".
"Preserving Social Security" is equally a myth. The system is a government-sponsored Ponzi scheme and anyone with a cursory look at it should recognize that.
Both sides are talking about cutting "across the board" in their proposals but that is not the issue - the issue is the need to eliminate any and all functions of government that are not authorized under the constitution.
100% in agreement that the downgrade was the fault of both parties - that is just pure BS on the part of any candidate that blames it on the other.
As I said in earlier postings - Obama's budget plan puts us $1.6 T further in debt each year while Ryan's plan is $1.1 T/year - just slowing down slightly how fast we drive to the cliff.
We need fundamental change and that is not going to happen under Romney/Ryan...

Last night I tried not to laugh too hard hearing what I believed to be some pretty tall tales told by Congressman Ryan. The scary part is the mob reaction applause that makes the tales sound credible. I was sorry that I hadn't taken notes and wrote my own rebuttal to Congressman Ryan. As the Internet would have it, someone else chose to write the rebuttal for which I am grateful.
At this point, I am really ashamed of what has happened and what is happening at the convention this week.
