Dear Patriots,

Our children are in big trouble and it's name is Common Core.  I know that a lot of you have been hearing about this educational disaster and today we need to start doing something about it!  Please contact St. Senator Bill Galvano and tell him that you are against his bill #878. ASK HIM TO PLEASE PULL BACK ON THIS BILL!!!! Tell him that Floridians are going to fight this bill.

Read about it here- http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2013/0878

This bill is about data collection on our children and is directly related to Common Core curriculum-otherwise known as Obamacore!

There are already lawsuits because of the invasion of privacy- http://whatiscommoncore.wordpress.com/2013/02/09/department-of-education-stealth-in-data-surveillance-setup/

Tell him no Common Core for our children-they are not for sale!!!  (there data will be shared).

ALSO-House Bill #7091 put up by another R in Duval county-it is being reviewed-it must not be brought up for a vote!!!!!!!  Ask him to please help us delay that bill!!!!

COMMON CORE TALKING POINTS by Chrissy Blevio, Bradenton Tea Party

Major Problems with Common Core in Florida

The Common Core Standards and related assessments being implemented in Florida have many problems including lack of rigor and transparency; loss of state, local, family, and teacher autonomy, as well as loss of data privacy; and high costs that will be borne by the state and counties analogously to the proposed Medicaid expansion. The citizens of Florida and their elected representatives on county school boards and in the legislature should consider carefully before spending hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars more and irreversibly changing the state's education system with enormous impact on our children's future, freedom, the economic health of the state, parental and teacher autonomy and data privacy.
