Dear Friends and Activists,
Our elected officials appear to be complicit in the Race to FED MED and the Race to FED ED.  We must with every fiber of our being resist, desist, verbalize, and strategize to rid ourselves of the overreach of an intrusive and individual rights eliminating federal government.  Please join us in these fights to restore the unique American identity of freedom, exceptionalism, and prosperity for all.
Please see the update from the FLSTOPCCCoalition below.
We are in this together!

I repeat:
Please BOMBARD the Florida Department of Education website with comments in opposition to Common Core State ([sic] federal) Standards.  We need to outnumber the forces in support of Common Core that are well-staffed, well-funded, and well-connected and are pushing strenuously (through the unions, superintendents, education organizations, corporate interest groups) the FLDOE to continue with CCSS.  Do not for one minute think they have not set up a grassroots campaign to email the FLDOE in support and to also attend these hearings. REMEMBER, the FLDOE has already taken a PRO SUPPORT stance behind the adoption of Common Core in the State of Florida.  The Florida Department of Education is not impartial in this fight and at these hearings.  We must hold them and Governor Scott (in this re-election cycle) accountable for transparent, fair, proper, and due process hearings.
I have confirmed that you can send multiple emails daily, everyday, to the FLDOE site.  We must keep up the pressure.

The Florida Stop Common Core Coalition
Dear FLCC Fighters,  Please do your best to get to the remaining two hearings.  Our opinion, after sitting in on the FDOE meetings in Tampa and the public hearing, is that the FDOE has no intentions to consider dropping Common Core but only to change the name or "re-brand."  It's the old "bait and switch" routine.  Please keep in mind when speaking that it is more to the media than anyone else that you are speaking to. Give them a good message to spread...
