We the People who are coming in 2010 now have an obligation to generations to come to educate them in the way of our governments and to preclude any further ignorance of the structure and purpose of our governments. Because of the corruption in and around our governments and our elected and hired officials, We the People must take it upon ourselves to create the education we want those future generations to have.

The link to "Today in History" (http://www.pinellaspa...) is an absolutely great source for your family discussions regarding our heritage. Please use it to your advantage in this very personal education of our offspring. One new topic is presented each day, and each is well worth down-loading to accumulate a good history book to read for yourselves and to present to your offspring as they come of age.

As I have moved through these past three years in my re-newed political activity, I have learned much. Do your children know where the specific responsibilities of Congress are found in our Constitution? Do you know that there are ONLY 18 duties for the federal Congress? Can you explain to your children the meaning of the "General Welfare" clause and where it is found?

Yes, it would be fabulous if we could all take the time to study the US Constitution in its entirety. But, taken only one paragraph or Article at a time will reap extraordinary education opportunities for each and every one of us.

And, that's what Today in History can do for you as well. Little snippets of a variety of historical information to be used to educate all those within our sphere of influence for generations to come. Thank you for reading that "column".

And, please let Kris know that you appreciate her efforts on our behalf!!
