It's Hemp History Week! This is a great opportunity to spread the word about the many not-so-obvious food & fiber uses of hemp plant. Educate yourself about this incredible plant .

Here are four events in Lee County

Tuesday, June 4th from 6-8 PM at:

Chuck's Last Stop American Grill
2301 Estero Blvd. FMB Fl. 33931

This event will feature delicious free samples of hemp dishes and drinks, plus Humboldt Hemp Ale and a hemp clothing fashion show from 2 companies.

Also to make it interesting will be Bob Clayton's exhibit from Florida Hempcrete LLC! Bob builds homes made out of hemp. He has the only Hemp Home in the state of Florida. You can learn more about Florida's hemp house here.

The Coordinator of Hemp History Week in Lee County is Ms Ingrid Setzer. If you would like more information or would like to contact Ms. Setzer, you can call the FLCAN office [masked].

You can organize a hemp history event, too, if you know a business that can help. Let Ingrid's work in Fort Myers inspire you to contact them, and then let us know what's happening in your area.

Here are some resources for you to use in planning your own hemp awareness event.
