This group is for any dancer living in or around the Roanoke Valley who is looking to find a place to dance. Dancing is all around us in the Roanoke Valley, and we try to capture and list as much as we can.

Some kind of dancing is happening every day, so join in on the fun, learn a new hobby, and meet new friends! This group is perfect for couples as well as people who are "partnerless" - those who are single or those but whose partners or spouses do not wish to dance.

This group was started by some amateur social dancers who were looking for places to dance. There are plenty of dance opportunities in and around the Roanoke Valley, but word of mouth is the most prevalent way of communicating them and we were missing dance opportunities simply because we didn't know about them. So we created this group to better communicate the various dance options and connect with other dancers in the region.

The purpose of this group is to share all known dance opportunities with people in and around the Roanoke Valley. The organizers of this group will monitor known sources for dance opportunities and post the various dances here. If you are a dance organizer, please post your dances. If you know about a dance and it's not posted here, please let us know about them. Any dance style is welcome.

This group is not intended to be a dating service. If your sole purpose for joining this group is to find a date, please use other means to do so. This is a light-hearted and friendly group of people looking for dance opportunities and having a good time.
