Update: Special event "Ballet Mécanique" by George Antheil

We have been invited by Michael Holland to display our cool creations at the Blair School of Music April 7th for "Ballet Mécanique". This is a first for us at the Blair School of Music and is very exciting. Its a great opportunity to show guests from Nashville and abroad whom we rarely interact with that the city has a strong and thriving Robotics club. For those not familiar with the composer George Antheil and "Ballet Mécanique" checkout http://www.antheil.org/. Eight robotic grand pianos, 3 Airplane propellers, and 13 live musicians will perform at 8pm after the outdoor exhibit closes. This is a hands on event with an emphasis on guest engagement.

Note: No power will be provided but we wont be setup for more then an hour. More then enough time if you want to setup some laptops. The lobby where we will be setup is outdoors so the exhibit will be cancelled if we get rained out but the concert will go on.

UPDATE: Attention attendees: If you would like to see the event after our lobby presentation I need you to respond to this posting or post under the facebook event. Id like to have a head count by Sat. Michael Holland will reserve the seats for us as it might take us a few minutes to lock up our stuff. Thanks!

What a fun event. Thanks to everyone who attended and thanks to everyone who brought robotic arts projects. It was great to see so many members attend and to get a chance to meet a few significant others. The performance was great, and there was a huge crowd checking out all our robots. Thanks especially to Michael for including us in the event!

From Michael Holland: Free parking is located kitty corner from Blair in the South Garage. Cars must enter at the Children's Way entrance. If we have any weather related issues it will be posted om FB, on Meetup, and we will shoot out an email on our mailing list. As of now the weather looks good but you know how TN weather can be.
