Stop the Bearcat II and the militarization of our police

This is an email I received from Tom Flaherty and worth attending in a big way:
If you haven't heard of the controversy about the LEDCO Bearcat Tactical Assault Vehicle the Concord Police Chief wants to buy with Federal Grant dollars, you might have been on vacation.

Hopefully, you didn't miss the video of Retired Colonel Pete Martino's litle speech, which went viral across the nation this week.

Here is an article from The Blaze about the hearing, including Col Martino's speech:
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/08/15/is-everybody-blind-city-council-meeting-erupts-in-applause-after-ex-marine-issues-dire-warning-about-u-s-building-a-domestic-army/

Here is Tom Flaherty's GraniteGrok blog entry about the event: http://granitegrok.com/blog/2013/08/bad-news-bears

Well, there were so many people at the hearing who spoke (44 against, 4 in support), they had to delay the vote until the next meeting.
This meeting is scheduled for: Monday, Sept 9th, 2013. Wouldn't it be great if another 100 people showed up?

Stop the Bearcat - Part II (Concord City Council Hearing)
Monday, September 9th, 2013

6:00pm
41 Green Street, Concord, NH

If you can make some time for this, it should not only prove to be entertaining but it should be inspiring. The national attention the first hearing got is proof of that.
I know this meetup clashes with our Rochester 912 Regular Meeting. I want those that want to go to Concord to be notified of the event.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
