Introduction

I'm in the Tucson meetup, and you guys are just up the road!

What are your other ourdoor pursuits?

hiking, backpacking, climbing mountains, cave exploring

Where have you climbed and where is top on your list to go to next? What are you hoping to get from being a member of this group?

Mt, Lemmon, Boulder Creek, El Dorado. Cochise Stronghold is on my list. I'm looking for climbing ideas and experienced climbers to go with.

What rating can you top rope?, lead sport?, lead trad? If you are a new climber, please state so. How long have you been climbing? What gear do you own?

TR: 10a, sport lead: 8(sustained), Trad lead: 5, maybe 6. 2+ years of climbing, just a few months outside. 60m rope, draws, stoppers, slings, cordelettes.

Have you read and understand this groups climbing disclaimer? Do you understand that rockclimbing is a dangerous sport and you are responsible for your own safety?

  • Welcome Sarah! We will be discussing in short about gardening tonight at our meeting. I plan to have a more detailed discussion soon on desert gardening. The Community food bank has great free classes as well. I look forward to meeting you!

  • Sarah, I don't feel like I answered your anchor threading question very clearly. Check out part J of the Petzl link for anchors with big diameter bolt hangers. The video link below that has two aprts, link is for part 1. http://www.petzl.com/files/all/en/act... http://www.youtube.com/user/mikebarte...

  • Welcome Sarah!
You are certainly a talented woman with a variety of interests. We hope to have a program from one of our members on taiko drums.

Look forward to seeing you at the origami meeting on Sept. 5th. Please let me know if you have any questions.
    Again, welcome, Sarah!!
