Pinnacle Peak Park - No Dogs on Trails

Climbers,

I have been asked by the Park Manager at Pinnacle Peak Park in Scottsdale, Arizona to inform the climbing community that Pinnacle Peak Park has a strict policy of no dogs on the trails, including no dogs on the climber-only trails. This has been a long standing policy and will be strictly enforced.

As climbers we are users of the wonderful resource and we must act in accordance with established policy as well as comply with the request of the park staff. To do otherwise could threaten the resource for all of us.

Please also remember to comply with Park rules, including the rule that you must be out of the park at the designated hour (posted on the trail head sign but generally conforming to sunset). This rule was part of the negotiations to allow climbing at the Park and continuing violations could also threaten our use of the resource.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

Enjoy the beautiful park and stellar granite.
