Regular monday meetups at Hardrock swanston st

Hi climbers! We meet at around 6.30pm and climb for around two to three hours. Beginners are always welcome.

To find the group, look for the yellow sign. If there isn't one, ask one of the staff, and they'll point you in the direction of one of the organisers. You can also find Edward, who will have a sign attached to his harness, and Chris, who will be wearing a bandanna.

Don't worry if you don't have a partner, we'll pair you up!

At around 8:30-9:00pm, some of us start heading to towards the Lounge Bar* for dinner and/or a drink.

Looking forward to climbing with you!

* Lounge bar is located upstairs at 243 Swanston Street between Lonsdale and Little Bourke. On Monday nights, they serve an enormous Chicken Parmigiana for $10 till 10pm, and Doss Blockos for $5.

Hi, there's some info here; http://www.hardrock.c... - the short version is, if you have your own harness/shoes it's $12, if you don't, the total is $30 each time.

Hi, I am new to this group and would love to come next time as I am already busy tonight. I can't wait to start climbing again! it's been too long!

Are there any lead-certified climbers coming on Monday? (Hard Rock requires you to take a test before lead climbing, no exceptions.) If so, I'll bring my rope. If not, it's too much effort to carry in on a bike.

If anybody's driving to Nunawading, I'm keen for the test (not the course)

    Hi guys,
I'm new in the group and in the city aswell. I'd like to know if there is a club of something to do outdoor activities and get discounts. I'd like to find a place to climb and make some exercise. Could you recommend me something, pleade? Cheers!

    • Shupu W.

Hi Javier, there are quite a few outdoor meetup groups around, hiking, gym, etc. They might offer some discounts but I am not sure. You can check out their individual pages for more details. This group is more for indoor rock climbing if that's what you are looking for at the moment? hope this helps :) Cheers

Javier, You want the VCC (Victoria Climbing Club) www.vicclimb.org.au - they organise most of the outdoor climbing events. Members of this meetup often organise informal outdoor climbing trips as well.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
