Announcing a new Meetup for The Melbourne Indoor Rock Climbing Group!

What: Saturday climb - Day Option 1

When: August 16,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Hi there!

Spring is just around the corner! So for those who are wanting to try the sport, this is a great time to do it! As usual, you can select either Saturday or Sunday. You can select both days if you are free both days, but eventually the day which has the most "RSVP Yes" will be selected. That way, it gives flexibility for everyone to manage their activities.

If you are new to rock climbing, or have not been to the venue proposed here, you will need to go through a quick safety procedure. it will take about 15 - 30 minutes tops. Usual prices apply of $12/14 per visit for 10 pass punch card or $18 for an individual. $6 each for shoes/harness.

We will go out for drinks and snacks after climbing and get to know everyone. So I would like to encourage everyone who has not tried rock climbing before to join us!

Contact me on[masked] if you have any queries.

Eu Jin

******General Information on climbing******

Climbing is what comes naturally to us, like running. And like running, climbing is full of fun! Lots of adrenaline and lots of pain, which you will come to adore it (if you are like me). Climbing builds strong character, training one to be focus, determined, and be larger than life. If you love the outdoors, climbing gives you the opportunity to get close with nature.

*****Extra information on Climbing******

Remember when you were really young, when you used to climb trees, boulders, furniture and all sorts of things? Do you remember how much fun and excitement you had? Have you ever wondered why you climbed? Ever wondered why you stopped climbing as you grew up? Ever wondered why you were fearless when you were young? You will have to seek your own answers, as I am seeking my own.

Climbing, unlike most sports, is a battle against oneself, pushing one's own physical limit. It forces one to face their own fears and challenge themselves to see how far they can go. Whether one is able to make it, or takes a leap of faith knowing they will make it, depends on how well one knows thyself. How well do you know yourself to know that you can make it?
