Avalanche Beacon Practice & Drills (beacon can be provided)

Have you practiced using your Beacon this year? Do you feel confident you can rescue your friend if buried? Are you wanting to learn how your beacon works?

Join me as we learn how to find a buried beacon quickly and efficiently. Spend a much needed few hours practicing using your beacons. The Friends of the NW Avalanche Center is nice enough to give us their beacons to use during our practice sessions as well as KAF Adventures. Now let’s take time to practice course searching, pin-point searches, and multi-burials.

Bring a backpack that you can bury. Avalanche probes will be very helpful to locate the buried beacons. I am short probes.

Looking forward to meeting and working with you all.

Hey Mick, I just saw this event and would like to attend. I missed the registration deadline by a few hours. I am wondering if I can still sign up? Please let me know if there is any wiggle room.
    Thanks, Colin
