The overall plan
A hike up to the very top at Mount Washington to visit Bob’s Area.
Top rope and lead, beginner, intermediate, advanced, whether you've been outdoors before or basically live on the rock. There are nearly 50 climbs to be found in the sub alpine area around 1000ft above the highway. The crags found here include Chainsaw Wall, Peannicle Wall, Lost Resort, Alpina, Presto Palace, Slumbersome Ridge and the Stein.

Peannacle is great easy/intermediate climbing: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/peannacle-wall/106589403
Chainsaw is a bit more frisky: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/chainsaw-wall/108519432

Where to go
We'll gather at the Mount Washington Parking Lot. Take Exit 38 from I-90 and then take the first right. This leads to a parking lot with info board and toilets.
After hanging out for fifteen minutes or so to give people a chance to get there, we'll start hiking up. Either join us for the hike or come join us up there if you can't get out of bed that early.
Stuff to bring
Essentials: Harness, shoes, water, sunblock, good/passable footwear (it’s a fair hike up to the areas), Discover Pass
Would be handy if you have them: Rope, helmet, quickdrawers, ATC/grigri, chalk, anchors.
I'll email all the rsvp-ers nearer the date and we can trade numbers to ensure late arrivals or lostee's (it happens) can locate us or catch up or get directions (if I don't reply immediately give it a little while, I might be climbing, belaying someone, or just out of breath from hiking)
When you see the champagne colored Toyota Corola with the 'LA County Coroner' sticker you're in the right place. At the crags look for the 'Union Jack' painted climbing helmet or cammo trousers
