Jerry isn't going to be able to make it this weekend so I asked if I could "co-host" and choose Amazonia as a destination. The wall has (1) 5.9 and then a large series of 5.10a, 5.10b, 5.10c's. This is a great wall to push /challenge yourself on as it is very vertical with solid handholds. I realize that this grade of climbing will be hard (especially for those new to rock climbing), but it will still be a lot of fun trying it on top rope. And for those that want to take a challenge leading......this is the spot to do it!
I will be coming from the Tacoma area so I will meet everyone at the Mt. Washington Parking Lot (the first right---up the hill---after you come off Exit 38) at 8:45am.
If you want to carpool, Jerry has been having people meet at the Eastgate Park & Ride at 8am . This will be something you will have to coordinate with other participants on your own as I won't be there (just e-mail people through their profile to contact them).
Feel free to post comments here each week or email me with any questions! My phone number is[masked] and [address removed].
ps. The Eastside Rock Climbing meetup group has a recurring Saturday trip scheduled for Exit 38, so if you can't make it out with us on Sundays, check the other group out: http://www.meetup.com/East-Side-Rock-Climbing/
