RE: [rockclimbing-64] New Meetup: Climb and/or explore

Great idea Dave!  Though I might have to wait a month or so before I could start climbing or hiking again; I have recently been diagnosed with a herniated disc.
I so looking forward for the next opportunity!

Regards, Chris

Subject: [rockclimbing-64] New Meetup: Climb and/or explore
Date: Sun, 29 Mar[masked]:22:34 -0400

Announcing a new Meetup for The Seattle Climbing Meetup Group!

What: Climb and/or explore

When: April 4,[masked]:00 AM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Rain or Shine Folks!

Tired of getting bossed around by Mother Nature? Me too. Let's go out to the crags no matter what!

If the weather allows, we'll climb. If not, let's explore some of the more "recently" developed areas off the Mt. Washington trail such as Lost Resort, Alpinia, Presto Palace, Valley View East and West etc. They're not exactly new, but I haven't been up there since Bruce's 2002 book came out. I used to climb at Bob's area in the 90's and found the rock to be decent. The approach is longer than the trestle area - maybe 45 min.

So bust out the Gor-tex..... again..... and get ready for anything. All levels of experience are welcome since we might not even be climbing, but bring all your gear just in case (sport only). We'll hike in small groups so we don't look like a convention descending on the place. Please bring a guide book if you have one and post some info about your experience level in your reply.

We'll meet at the parking lot/trailhead for the Mt. Washington area at 10am and wait until about 10:15 before heading up. See website for directions...

Let me know if you have any questions. On belay,
